Raptor Rehabilitation Center
Katherine Road Animal Hospital operates a Raptor Rehabilitation Center, the only facility of its kind within a 100-mile radius. Through this non-profit program, we rehabilitate injured birds of prey such as hawks, eagles and owls. Our goal is to be able to release them back into the wild when they are healed. Some raptors are kept at our facility for educational purposes. We are members of the National Wildlife Rehabilitation Association. Please contact Dr. Kaiser or his staff to find out how you can be involved in the program.

Grooming and Boarding
The Grooming Lodge, located within the hospital, caters to both canines and felines. Your pet will be gently shampooed, combed, and trimmed using professional techniques customized for individual breeds. And while you’re away, our boarding facilities offer your pet clean lodging in temperature-controlled comfort. Your special canine family member will be exercised at least three times a day, and receive the kind of personal attention our staff would give their own pets. Plus, we’ll be happy to pick up and return your pet for you if necessary.

Programs & Tours
We offer group tours of our Animal Hospital and Raptor Rehabilitation Center to help the public learn more about animals and how to care for them. We also provide educational programs for schools and special groups on birds of prey and domestic animals. For more information on these free educational programs, contact our office at 217-228-1982.
